China's Sinopharm says its COVID-19 vaccine has 79% efficacy
China's Sinopharm has said that its vaccine was found to be 79.34% effective at protecting people against COVID-19 in the Phase 3 trials. The company added that it has sought regulatory approval for general public use in China. Earlier this month, UAE approved Sinopharm's vaccine and said it was 86% effective, based on interim analysis of Phase 3 clinical trials.
